in advance if we are interested in attending one of the mandatory information
sessions?
YES, you do have to register in advance through 'coursewhere' online.
2. How do we register?
Go to the DOE website at www.louisianaschools.net
At the site, follow these
directions:
1. Click on "COURSEWHERE" selection located on the top portion of the web
page.
2. Click on "View by Alpha".
3. Click on 2006 NBC Recruitment Meeting
4. Scroll down to view all the locations, dates, and times.
5. Select the meeting you are interested in attending and click on the
date.
6. Scroll down to a botton that reads: Register - Click on it
7. Follow the instructions.
If you have difficulty signing up, please contact the State Department of
Education for assistance.
3. Is there any information I can view before the meeting?
YES! You can visit the NBC website at www.nbpts.org. You can begin viewing the requirements for the
certificate.
4. How many years do you have to have taught in order to be eligible to
become National Board Certified?
Three (3) years.
