Teacher Tuition Exemption
Funding for Teacher Tuition Exemption is available through Federal, State, and Local funds for the purpose of providing opportunities for teachers to take courses for the purpose of on-going professional development.
First consideration in approving requests for tuition exemption will be given to those persons who are becoming certified and "highly qualified". As funds permit, additional consideration will be given to certified teachers becoming certified and "highly qualified" in areas of critical shortage. Teachers seeking additional content knowledge in their current areas of certification and/or assignment will be considered only as funds permit.
To apply for Teacher Tuition Exemption please complete the Teacher Tuition Exemption form. The form is also available both online (click right column) or in the Human Resources Department.
Please Note:
- Teacher is responsible for payment to the University unless the Teacher Tuition Application is pre-approved by Human Resources.
- Any course changes must first be approved by Human Resources before tuition assistance can be provided.
- Funds for this program can only be used to cover tuition costs. Any other university fees are not covered.
- The student must receive a passing grade in the course(s) in order to benefit from this program.
